Just as steirischer herbst decides who is part of the Partner Program, manuskripte chooses who to publish in the magazine—and who not to. In everyday life, too, we constantly make assessments and thus define, usually unconsciously, criteria for rejection and acceptance.

In this project, mechanisms of decision-making are tested using the example of a reading, and the conventional rules of the game are turned upside down. In the process, motifs from the work of Franz Kafka are echoed on the 100th anniversary of his death.
